Firearms and weapons are essential to the entertainment community’s ability to tell a story. Any time a prop is used on set — whether it is a weapon, a car or a cellphone — it is intentionally selected because it advances the story, tells the audience something important about the character or setting, and operates as needed on camera.

The American Entertainment Armories Association (AEAA) sets the industry standard for firearm safety on film and television sets throughout the country. AEAA is dedicated to training and educating Armorers and crew members on the multiple layers of safety protocols that must exist on any set where there are firearms or weapons.
